Dublin's forgotten maritime village, split for centuries between two churches and two traditions. Walk from the 1620s fishing harbour of Raytown, past the Catholic and Church of Ireland parishes that anchored either side of the community, out along the Georgian sea-lock of the Grand Canal Docks, and on to the nearly-4km Great South Wall — completed in 1795 as the world's longest sea wall — to the red 1820 lighthouse at Poolbeg.
