Glengarriff Heritage Walk

📍 Cork🚶 6 stops🚶️ 4.95km⌛ ~85 min

A short heritage loop around Glengarriff, the Victorian resort village at the head of Bantry Bay: the storied Eccles Hotel and the parish church built in 1902, the harbour where ferries still cross to Garinish Island, and a demesne gate lodge and limestone bridge inside the ancient oakwoods of Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve. Garinish Island (Ilnacullin) is included as a boat-access stop — its Italian gardens and Napoleonic Martello Tower can only be reached by ferry from the harbour, not on foot or by road. Looking for things to do in Glengarriff? Start here — no car, no ticket, no booking.
