This trail links the modern village of Derrylin — Doire Loinn, the oak grove — on Upper Lough Erne's shore to its deeper past: the ruined medieval church at Aghalurcher where a Maguire chief is said to have died at the altar in 1484, the saint-legends and Plantation ruins of Knockninny hill above the lough, and the parish's two 19th-century churches and 17th-century graveyard at Callowhill.
